RECIPE OF THE WEEK || Tuna Bento Boxes
LATEST OBSESSION YA’LL.
Full transparency. I was having a hard time figuring out what to make for lunches lately. Everything felt “the same.” And in my food journey…same is a trap for me to get bored.
IDK about you but I like variety. I’m not sure what led me on this Pinterest rabbit hole search but I ended up looking for “adult bento box lunches” for inspo and the REST is history. My obsession began with creating a greek salad sort of bento with a side salad, hummus, crackers, and grapes. Then a Starbucks COPY CAT Protein Boxes which I’m now calling “The Grace and Frankie” bc it’s all their FAVE things 😜 . And now I’ve added onto my list with the Tuna Bento Box.
They’re fun to make and the perfect little lunch prep for busier weeks.
WHAT YOU NEED 👇🏼
tuna (prepared however you like)
sliced apples
peanut butter
cheese squares or cubes
pretzel chips
Bento Boxes (like these)
HOW YOU MAKE IT 👇🏼
① Prepare your tuna however you like and then assemble. I put the tuna in a separate compartment, peanut butter in a smaller container so it doesn’t get on everything, cheese in a compartment, and then the pretzel chips and apples go in the big space. I personally like to save slicing an apple for day of so it doesn’t brown.
